About this Resort :

This place was developed by British Government and now belong to Bangladesh Tea Board. It is is known locally as the DFID tea resort or Bangladesh Tea Board Tea Resort. Since the British Government sold it a few years ago, it has gone down hill a bit, but the standard is still acceptable. The bungalows are well worn and the carpets are pretty faded but clean and surrounded by mosquito nets. All bungalow have dinning room, drawing room, balcony and kitchen. They also provide refrigerator & freeze, air condition in every room, Television, Fire place, Study place, and self car parking for each bungalow.
2-/3-person bungalow. At the time of research, this pleasant oasis, 3 Km, from Srimangal was in the throes of being handed over to the Bangladesh tea Board from the department for international development.
The swimming pool & Tennis court is clean and well maintained. The dinning hall is clean and well maintained too. Individual rooms and VIP suited are nice & clean and they are just beside the pool. Each bungalows are approximately less than 100m away from each other and have lots of space, garden and walk way around them. This is a world peace place and wonder place to visit in Bangladesh.

Nazimgarh 'Garden Resort' is everything a resort should be. Set on six acres of landscaped hillside, it is a self-contained island of tranquility amidst lush green foliage. It consists of the Terrace, the Villa and the Bungalow with fifty luxurious world class double rooms and suites.
The foods are good but price way too high. They have a good range of western, Bengali and even vegetarian dishes. The foods are only served in their dinning hall and not allowed to take away in bungalow. It is a large area and you can walk for hours inside it. You can enjoy the view of small mountains and tea gardens all around too. You can ask them to arrange born fire at night at a small amount of charge. We had lots of fun out there and did bonfire every day night with music & chilled beer. It is a great place for peace.

Welcome to Nazimgarh Nature Park

Nazimgarh 'Nature Park' is located on the banks of the Sharee River at Lalakhal, a picturesque place at the base of the Jaintia Hills bordering the Indian State of Meghalaya. The 'Sharee' originates at a height of 1420 meters (4650 feet) from a place called Mitimyntdu, close to Jowai town of the West Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. There, the river is known as Myntdu or "Ka Tawiarka Takam" (Our Guardian Angel) in the local Pnar (Khasi) dialect. Encircling Jowai town on three sides, the Myntdu flows south through Leshka valley to reach Borghat village within Jaintia Hills before entering Bangladesh as the 'Sharee' at Lalakhal.

The river brings from the hills much sand and other minerals that give the waters a unique blue-green colour. While in the dry season the river is mild, its crystal clear water of an emerald colour, in the rainy season it become a raging torrent, at times over flowing its banks. Around 1340 AD, Ibne Battuta of Morocco, one of the gratest travelers of all time, is said to have travelled down this 'blue' river on his return journey after visiting Hazrat Shah Jalal in Sylhet.

'Nature Park' is on the banks of the river Sharee, near its sister resort 'Wilderness' which is located on the hillside. The 'River Queen' restaurant is the focal point with its panoramic view following the bend in the river. The 'Adventure Camp' tent site is nearby, under the shade of the surrounding trees. These comfortable tents give guests a sense of nature and adventure rarely available in other places. The clear night sky allows one to see stars with a clarity that needs to be experienced to be truly believed. It is Nature in its purest form.
